Springer Nature strengthens Rice University partnership with new transformative agreement
The four-year agreement expands open access publishing options for Rice researchers and supports wider access to their work.
New York | 2 September 2026 – Springer Nature has announced a new four-year transformative agreement with Rice University, enabling more researchers to publish their articles Open Access in the Springer Nature hybrid portfolio. The deal grants Rice University-affiliated researchers access to content from over 2,000 journals, including titles published under the Springer, Palgrave and Adis brands.
Building on a longstanding relationship, Springer Nature and Rice University have expanded their partnership. The new collaboration offers broader access to Springer Nature’s portfolio, and will extend the visibility, reach, and impact of their findings, while removing barriers to publishing openly.
