Announced across a number of days at the beginning of October, this year’s Nobel Prize winners have made a prolific contribution to their respective fields and beyond, with journal articles and book chapters published with Springer Nature amongst their diverse output.

In celebration of Svante Pääbo, Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine; Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser and Anton Zeilinger, Nobel Prize winners in Physics; Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and K. Barry Sharpless, Nobel Prize winners in Chemistry; and Ben S. Bernanke, Douglas W. Diamond and Philip H. Dybvig, winners of The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, Springer Nature is making their publications free to read on a dedicated landing page. Their open access articles are available free of cost on a permanent basis.

Publications from this year’s winners with Springer Nature include Chemistry Nobel Laureate Carolyn R. Bertozzi’s ‘Revealing the human mucinome’ article in Nature Communications, Physics Nobel Laureate Anton Zeilanger’s article ‘Quantum teleportation, onwards and upwards’ published in Nature Physics and a book chapter, ‘The eternal molecule’, published in ‘50 Years of DNA’ from Svante Pääbo, Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine.

Commenting, Steven Inchcoombe, Chief Publishing and Solutions Officer at Springer Nature said: “We are constantly seeing groundbreaking scientific research that is helping to solve some of the problems we face or giving us a better understanding of the world around us. We don’t take the work of these scientists for granted and the Nobel Prize is an opportunity for us to recognise the impact that science and scientific research is having on our lives.

“Springer Nature is committed to communicating science and are honoured that world-leading scientists continue to choose us to publish their work.”

The publications can be accessed through a dedicated landing page here.
