Partnership with Pistoia Alliance opens up knowledge sharing within the life science
Springer Nature joins the Pistoia Alliance to collaborate with the wider life science community to advance discovery and research solutions

As part of its commitment to developing innovative solutions to support research and researcher needs, Springer Nature has joined the Pistoia Alliance, a global initiative to drive forward best practices, standards and technology in the life sciences.
The Pistoia Alliance was formed by global pharmaceutical companies including Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis and AstraZeneca with the purpose of helping researchers overcome common obstacles to innovation whether this is identifying the root causes of inefficiencies, working with regulators to adopt new standards, or helping researchers implement AI effectively.
The partnership will see Springer Nature work collaboratively with Pistoia and its members, sharing knowledge and contributing to Pistoia’s community projects to better address the practical needs of researchers within these critical fields. Speaking of the new partnership Harald Wirsching, Managing Director Data and Analytics, Springer Nature Commented:

The Pistoia Alliance is a global, not-for-profit members’ organisation conceived in 2007 and incorporated in 2009 by representatives of AstraZeneca, GSK, Novartis and Pfizer who met at a conference in Pistoia, Italy.
