Applications open for Nature Awards for Mentoring in Science 2022

Celebrating outstanding support and mentorship in science, the Nature Awards for Mentoring in Science recognise those who support early career researchers in their career development. Focused on a different country or region each year, this year’s award focuses on mentors in Singapore, and invites former mentees to nominate a mentor that has made a significant contribution to their careers.
The Nature Awards for Mentoring in Science is made up of two categories:
- The award for lifetime achievement in mentoring is open to individuals who were awarded their PhD or Medical Doctorate before 1995.
- The award for mid-career achievement - awarded jointly between two mentors - is open to individuals who were awarded their PhD or Medical Doctorate in or after 1995.
Each award comes with a cash prize of US$10,000 (which will be shared by the joint winners).
- Applications open - Tuesday 1 March 2022
- Primary nominations form deadline - Friday 29 April 2022
- Supporting nominations and nominee consent deadline - Friday 13 May
- Winners announced - September 2022
