Springer Nature Group announces the sale of Red Globe Press to Bloomsbury Publishing Plc
Macmillan Education Limited, part of Springer Nature Group, today announces the sale of its Higher Education imprint Red Globe Press to Bloomsbury Publishing Plc following a strategic review.

Red Globe Press, formerly the textbook division of Palgrave Macmillan, publishes quality textbooks primarily in Social Sciences, Humanities, Business and Study Skills. It serves a growing global market for higher education textbooks, aiming to be the go-to imprint for quality teaching materials for higher education institutions around the world.
Subject to consultation, approximately 30 people whose roles are dedicated to the Red Globe Press imprint, based in the UK and in the US, will join Bloomsbury Publishing Plc as a result of the sale.
Emma Bourne, Managing Director Curriculum and Higher Education, Macmillan Education said: “Following a strategic review of the business, we have decided to focus on our core markets of K-12 English Language Teaching and Curriculum. We are sure that Red Globe Press, its team of dedicated staff, and all its authors will flourish within Bloomsbury, where the imprint can continue to grow its excellent academic publishing.”
