FRANKFURT BOOK FAIR 2023

#fbm23 – Welcome to the Springer Nature stand!

On 18 October 2023, the Frankfurt Book Fair will open its doors for five days of conversation and engagement with customers, business partners and the general public about all things book-related.

This year also marks the 75th anniversary of the Frankfurt Book Fair.
Having proudly supported the fair throughout this time we extend our warmest congratulations.

We look forward to welcoming you at the Springer Nature stand, and to inspiring conversations in the spirit of science and progress. You can find us in Hall 4.0 | D16, right at the entrance to the academic publishing zone.

The location, layout, and content of our stand may have changed over the last seven decades, but one constant remains: our motivation to advance the development of human knowledge in order to create a better world.

Book fair theme 2023 - Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The 2023 book fair is dedicated to Artificial Intelligence. This new and fast moving technology brings with it opportunities, risks and challenges. For example, how can AI be used responsibly and ethically to accelerate research and make knowledge around the world available faster? We will be discussing this, and other questions, at the following events hosted at the stand of THE LÄND (Baden-Württemberg):

Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) im wissenschaftlichen Publikationsprozess

Baden-Württemberg-Innovationsfrühstück

In his keynote, Henning Schoenenberger, VP Content Innovation, talks about AI use cases at Springer Nature.

Author + Campus events at the Springer Nature Stage

On Friday at 12:30 PM, a panel discussion at our stand (Hall 4.0 | D16) will focus on China, more specifically on the generation of young, educated Chinese and their wishes and vision for future global relationships.

Over the weekend, we will be focusing on topics from our broad, high-quality non-fiction programme. At the Springer Nature Stage at our stand, you can take part in exciting events with our authors. Amongst other things, they will discuss how ChatGPT is used in mathematics, but also whether Jim Knopf books are still appropriate in today’s time and age or whether they are too racially charged. Other events cover: cyber warfare, fake news, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
