Springer Nature has won Gold at the 2026 EPIC Awards, presented by the Society for Scholarly Publishing, for its Society Partner Community Newsletter — an honor that recognizes the newsletter’s role in strengthening communication and collaboration across the global research community.
The EPIC Awards celebrate outstanding achievement in scholarly publishing, information technology, and communications. Springer Nature’s winning newsletter was recognized for helping society partners stay informed on publishing innovation, research policy, and Open Access, while supporting stronger connections across its global partner community.
The newsletter was launched in May 2023 to support Springer Nature’s growing network of society partners. It now reaches more than 900 stakeholders from 670 unique organizations across 48 countries, providing expert perspectives and insights on publishing innovation, research policy, and Open Access to help societies navigate the publishing landscape.
Harsh Jegadeesan, Chief Publishing Officer, Springer Nature, stated: “This award highlights our commitment to building a strong, connected global partner community. Societies are at the heart of the research ecosystem, bringing together expert communities, shaping disciplines, and driving the dissemination of trusted knowledge. We are proud that the Partner Community Newsletter supports our partners with the insights, tools, and advocacy needed to strengthen journals and advance research worldwide.”
