An International Source of COVID-19 content from across Scientific American’s International Network

Scientific American’s international network of magazines has launched a public webpage that combines COVID-19 stories from five of its publications: https://sciam.international/coronavirus/. This source brings readers the latest science news and expert analysis on this pandemic in one place—from the biology of the virus to the treatment of the disease and the psychological, social and environmental consequences. All of the content is free to access.

The page surfaces links to coronavirus stories from Scientific American (in English), Spektrum der Wissenschaft (German), Investigacion y Ciencia (Spanish), Pour la Science (French) and For Science (Arabic).

“COVID-19 is the most pressing science story of our time and the need for clear and accurate science journalism is of utmost importance,” says Stephen Pincock, VP Magazines, Editorial and Publishing, at Springer Nature. “This site is a service to our readers to present COVID-19 content from multiple trusted sources from across the world in one place.”

https://sciam.international/coronavirus/ is one of several initiatives that Springer Nature has launched to support the global response to COVID-19, enabling fast and direct access to the latest available research, evidence, data and journalism. Scientific American has made their June issue which contains several features on COVID-19 freely available to download. Springer Nature’s  www.springernature.com/coronavirus launched in January as a central resource hub which contains links to relevant research from journals and books, as well as additional commentary on COVID19. Overall more than 19,000 pieces of journal and book content are free to access and more than 500 original research articles have been published during the pandemic.
