Springer Healthcare’s Medicine Matters expands to include oncology and rheumatology resources
Medical education platform Medicine Matters provides healthcare professionals and specialists with new suite of products and enhanced features
London | New York | Heidelberg, 18 September 2017
Springer Healthcare has launched two new websites specializing in oncology and rheumatology to complement their flagship medical education platform, Medicine Matters diabetes. The three therapy-specific medical education platforms now form a family of products to support healthcare professionals around the world. The resources offered are invaluable for professionals who are increasingly short of time and require the flexibility of free online materials and tools.
Launched in 2016, Medicine Matters provides a reliable, free source of medical education materials to promote best clinical practice and improved patient care. The digital platforms are organized according to area of therapy. Features include international advisory boards to review content, expert insights and commentaries around peer-reviewed educational content, journal article synopses, and themed collections. Comprehensive continuing medical education (CME) resources have now also been incorporated into the platforms.
Medicine Matters oncology (oncology.medicinematters.com) launched to coincide with World Cancer Day on 4 February 2017. The website is organized according to tumor type or topic area so that users can easily identify the information most relevant for them.
The website rheumatology.medicinematters.com was launched in advance of the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) 2017 congress, and includes expert commentaries from this year’s conference.
New features to diabetes.medicinematters.com include the launch of a US and UK version of the website and conference reporting from the Diabetes UK and American Diabetes Association® conferences.
Alana Zdinak, Global Marketing Director, Springer Healthcare said: “The Medicine Matters team are proud of the positive responses we have received from leading experts and users alike for each of our new therapy websites. With an excellent pipeline of interesting content in development including CME for our diabetes, rheumatology and oncology platforms, the Medicine Matters brand is proving popular amongst healthcare professionals as a credible medical education resource.”
Jay H. Shubrook DO, Board Certified Family Physician and Diabetologist, and Medicine Matters editorial board member said: “What I like best about Medicine Matters diabetes is that I can get multiple levels of information. I have the highlights and short pieces that succinctly summarize the latest news, but if there is something I want to know more about, this site has so much more – including expert opinions, themed issues and comprehensive libraries of journal articles and book chapters. This website truly reflects the deep set of resources that are available from Springer Nature.”
